Crossover Sub is manufactured from 4145H. The connections are protected by a phosphate surface coating that reducing the galling when the initial make-up takes place. Crossover Sub (X-Over) is used for crossing over from the size of a single connection to the another. Also used for prolonging the connection life of a more expensive drilling component.
